Love goes toward love, as schoolboys from their books,

But love from love, toward school with heavy looks.

“Romeo and Juliet", an immortal, timeless story. A classic that's always modern.

Today the great Shakespeare migrated from the misty Albion to our sunny Tel-Aviv courtyard, to our street. He took our teenagers by the hand and plunged them into a world of drama, love and passion. Here and now, our rising young stars, together with the "old" Gesher Theatre`s luminaries, will be Romeo, Juliet, Mercutio... Our old acquaintances in a new modern adaptation, Here and now you'll see a performance for the young souls, for all those who have experienced their first love.

Youth is a Shakespearean tragedy.  Romeo, a 15-year-old orphaned street boy, whose idea of love is his only way out of the daily reality of violence and crime, and Juliet, a 14-year-old seemingly stable girl, forcibly betrothed by her parents to a family friend, find love, the meaning of life and meet death.
