“When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams - this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness - and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!”
- Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra

Two prisoners sharing a cell, read the famous novel “Don Quixote” by Cervantes over and over again. This allows them to drift off in their imagination, and feel as if they are a part of the extravagant adventures of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. It seems that true freedom is found inside of a prison, a place with no obligations, secluded from the burdens of society, where one can just sit, dream and imagine, that he is an honorary knight, even though he is not…

“I am Don Quixote” is a play abundant with exciting, thrilling and emotionally moving moments played by a large cast, about the brave friendship between two men, and the will, common to us all, to find freedom and love.
